Effective July 1, 2002, Chapter 507, Florida Statutes requires any company engaged in local moving to register annually with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Consumer Services. This is done in order to make sure that the movers carry all necessary insurance policies. Movers license is issued for one year and has to be renewed yearly. It is illegal in the state of Florida, including Tampa and Orlando, to provide moving services without having a proper licensing. Expedient Movers Florida Moving License is IM-1367. If your mover can not provide you with their license they might not have insurance as well.
